Why We Built Blackboard
The Problem Nobody Wants to Talk About
Centralized exchanges are slowly becoming unusable.
Regulators are tightening the grip. Derivative products banned in one jurisdiction after another. Leverage slashed. New listings censored. Global asset access blocked. And after FTX, after Bybit, the fundamental question remains — why are we still trusting middlemen with our money?
Meanwhile, on-chain trading exists. It's permissionless, non-custodial, censorship-resistant. The technology is there. But let's be honest — the experience is terrible. Seed phrases, gas fees on every action, fragmented protocols for every asset class. Less than 1% of crypto users have ever traded on-chain.
This is the gap we're here to close.
What Blackboard Is
Blackboard is a non-custodial trading terminal. One interface for perpetual futures, prediction markets, real-world assets, and AI-powered trading agents — all settled on-chain.
Your assets never leave your wallet. No withdrawal delays. No account freezes. No counterparty risk. If our servers go down tomorrow, your funds are exactly where you left them.
We're not building another exchange. We're building the interface layer that makes on-chain finance accessible to everyone — from first-time investors to professional traders to autonomous AI agents.
Why Now
Regulatory pressure is accelerating across Asia and beyond. Regulators are restricting centralized exchanges at an unprecedented pace — but regulation isn't killing demand. It's redirecting it. Traders are looking for alternatives, and on-chain is the only exit to global markets.
At the same time, the infrastructure is finally ready. Hyperliquid proved that a fully on-chain order book can match centralized exchange performance. Polymarket proved that prediction markets have product-market fit. The protocol layer is no longer the bottleneck — the user experience is.
And then there's the agentic shift. Crypto markets run 24/7 across every timezone. No human can monitor all of that. The next wave of on-chain adoption won't be driven by retail traders manually clicking buttons — it will be driven by AI agents executing strategies on behalf of users. Blackboard is built for this future from day one.
How We're Different — Two Pillars, One Terminal
We're not competing on technology. Hyperliquid and Polymarket already solved execution. We're competing on access, and on automation.
Blackboard is built on two pillars that share one terminal, one wallet, and one liquidity pool.
Pillar 1 — Access for everyone. A consumer-grade fintech experience for on-chain finance. Social login, zero gas, no seed phrases, no jargon. One account that holds perpetuals, prediction markets, and yield vaults side by side. If you can use a banking app, you can use Blackboard. The goal is radical simplicity — an advanced fintech app that happens to run on-chain, not a crypto tool that asks users to become crypto experts first.
Pillar 2 — Power for traders. AI-native strategy automation for people who actually trade. Describe a strategy in plain English, and Blackboard translates it into executable logic, backtests it, and runs it 24/7. It plugs into the 150,000+ open-source indicator ecosystem already living on TradingView, so traders don't start from a blank page. Say "do it" — the system handles execution, monitoring, and rebalancing while markets move through every timezone.
The two pillars aren't separate products. They're the same terminal viewed from two ends. A first-time user lands in Pillar 1, learns the market, and at some point thinks "I wish this trade just ran itself." That moment is the bridge to Pillar 2 — and every user who crosses it becomes an agentic trader by default.
Most teams pick one audience: retail or pro. We think that framing is already obsolete. The next cycle of on-chain finance will be defined by platforms where a beginner and an autonomous agent share the same interface without either one feeling out of place.
What's Next
Blackboard is launching in Q2 2026. The web terminal comes first — perpetual trading, prediction markets, and real-world assets in one interface. The consumer-grade mobile experience of Pillar 1 and the agentic trading layer of Pillar 2 roll out immediately after.
